- Plain White Rice:
Rice is another simple digestive foods which can help to relieve diarrhea at home. It contains 90% of carbohydrates and due to its sticky nature, it helps to firm the stool. Plain rice can be consumed with soups like chicken broth.
- Apple Sauce:
Applesauce is a light food and is easily digestible. It contains insoluble fiber ( 2.4 g per 100 g according to USDA ) which helps to absorb excess water from the intestine. Especially, it contains pectin an indigestible soluble fiber which absorbs water and forms a gel-like paste making the stool firm.
